HOW TO PLAY

 HOW TO PLAY

In this video, you will find all needed instructions for how to play the Amstrad games/programs. Below there are detailed instructions.

Instructions for loading a game/program:

In order to run a program, you need an emulator of Amstrad Cpc, and the dsk file.

An emulator is a software that enables one computer system (eg. a window in your computer) to behave like another computer system (eg. Amstrad CPC).

For example, you can go to http://www.winape.net/downloads.jsp    and download Version 2.0b2 (Amstrad CPC emulator), or any other emulator you wish.

After you extract program using winrar/winzip, go to the extracted folder and double click file Winape.exe. Amstrad emulator is going to start.

Then, use our google drive link to download the games/programs:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hZcn2TQ0GRmKUW4oY4IGR-eiDlEpcan8

in order to download a zip file that includes the dsk file for the game you wish to play.

Or, from that folder, download the <ALL IN FEW DSK FILES>, to play them all quickly.

In each separate game/program zip file there are is a dsk file, which includes only the selected game, and some more, as screenshots, videos, source code-list, etc.

In the folder <ALL IN FEW DSK FILES> there are few dsk files with all games/programs, and also the game/program manuals, enough for you to play the games.

The dsk file that is included in every zip file is a file with the extension <.dsk> (eg. PENALTY.DSK ), and it has to be loaded in the emulator.

To do that, at the bottom/left of the emulator screen, press <change disc> icon. Then press open, and insert the dsk file of the game (from where you have saved it). Press ok to confirm. Disk then should be loaded.

Then type
<CAT>  (and press Enter) and see the contents of the disk.

Then type
RUN”XXXXX.XXX” ( for typing <“> pls press shift+2) where <XXXXX.XXX> is the name of the game/program you would like to play.
Eg, to play <Penalty kicks>, type
<RUN "PENALTY.BAS"

Then and press Enter.
Game/program then should start!

You can also download and play other old and new Amstrad games from many databases on the internet.

Enjoy!
